Congratulations on Graduation, Nick Diaz!

CD Companies congratulates Structural Designer, Nicholas Diaz for graduating with his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering!

Nick Diaz earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering through University of Missouri-St. Louis & Washington University’s joint engineering program in May 2022. Nick has been started as a structural intern with CD Co’s, CASCO division in January 2020 and joined our team as a full-time structural designer after graduating. In his time with us Nick has had the opportunity to work on a great diversity of projects some of his favorites include Dierbergs, Missouri Delta, TLE, Primrose Schools, Dollar General, and Lane Valente. “Each of these projects have contributed to my growth as a professional, whether it be through creating construction documents, performing calculations, or coordinating with and learning from my colleagues.” Nick is also an active member of, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and during his time at college he was a member of St. Louis Community College’s Student Activities Budget Committee.

When asked how it feels to graduate Nick tells us “Graduating marks a great milestone in not only mine, but also my family’s life. I am very excited to finally complete my undergraduate studies and continue my professional career as a full-time employee at CD Companies. I am thankful for the opportunity that CD Companies has given me and I hope to continuously grow as an engineer in order to become a valuable asset for the company.”

When Nick has free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. In the past year he has started investing in and learning about the NFT space, so he also enjoys learning and researching anything NFT or Cryptocurrency related.
